Hello everyone

I am planning to buy a midi controller but have 2 questions before I buy it

1.Which one is good

2.I mean how can we play melodies at 148 bpm and higher. This might sound a bit ridiculous but I feel we can make chords and pads with controller but as the BPM is high, I was wondering how to play at such high BPM.(Practice?)

Peace

I take it you mean midi keyboard controllers.

1. From what i read all keyboard controllers work properly, so it depends on your needs. How many octaves you need, heavy or lightweighted keys, how many knobs or sliders for controlling different midi parameters etc.

2. I don't really get it here what you mean. In any case, if the chords or pads don't change that often it's possible to play and record them on higher BPMs depending of course on how good you are.

On the other hand why bother and not just lower the project tempo in a speed that is comfortable for you to play whatever you want to play, and nail it on the first take?           A friend told me once that the biggest mistake we make is that we believe we live, when in reality we are sleeping in the waiting room of life.

um....no one actually plays the entire riff on the Controller....

Its records the midi on your DAW...making it easier for you to arrange and sequence the midi notes.

Playing that riff live....would be like playing with fire.

It can work....but you GONNA get burned at some point.           Beartrap - SA

1. radioum 49 from M-Audio is great.
4 oct's, and u got gain env control, filter env control, the frequency controll and lfo controll, and some more.

2. it's extremlly hard to play a melody in 148 bpm, (from experience, depend on the melody complex)

but as i do, taking down the bpm, record my melody, and then lift up the bpm

sound good ah ?

Good Luck

2. depends on the melody and how long the notes are, playing a lead of lots of 16th or 32th at 155bpm can be hard to manage

1. check the novation controllers too            Signature
