Howdy,
I'm looking for a sturdy midi-controller, with a built-in low-latency high-quality audio-interface and loads of controller-knobs. Any suggestions besides the Novation X-station ?

do u mean a keyboard midi with a audio interface? like a external audio interface?
if u re lookin for a keyboard midi with high quality knobs go for the mpk akai, i have the 49, the knobs are very well made, just dont like the pads too much

hey dood,
i have to say im completely satisfied with my novation X-station.
it´s the best controller combination i found imo.
so i have lot´s of knobs and faders, DSP fx, built in audio interface which is quite good enough for everything to start with. imo no one single wish i had after.
the one point i bought this one instead of heaps of other controlling stuff was that it´s also a useful synth i can work with by only switching from control to synth. so i can control my phrases as i like it and between i can switch it to synth function and just play live any stuff i programmed .....

imo u wont get anything better for this price.

I agree that X-Station is a nice piece of combo controller/sound card. You cannot use both the soundcard & the synth engine at the same time, it's one or the other. Synth engine is basically the same as the K-Station I believe.

nooooO,
soundcard works well while playing the synth, you´re just not able to control per midi.... anyway it´s still working as audio device for your daw while u use it as synth.
or did i get u wrong now?
synth is nearly the same like KS with some less functions and modules.....
