Your CPU is overheating - pour some beer on your CPU heatsink, perferably a dark ale.

Er, actually, I have no idea. I've never had that problem with my Oxygen8 v1 or Alesis Photon controller, how many driver updates have they done for that new Oxy8 v2?

That could also be any combination of sequencer, ASIO drivers or VSTi issue.

the 8v2 drivers are the most recent ones so i guess it could be an ASIO thing or vsti (most likely vsti)...i made a help thread to draw more attention to these issues so we'll see if anyone has had these problems before. also i tried pouring beer on the CPU but now i have another problem, no more beer . thanks for the advice man, though           ~SPAWNmaster~

In Flstudio:

To assign VST that are not part of the Fruity Bundle:

The fruity wrapper is the interface in FL Studio which hosts VST and DX Plugins. When you load a plug in in FL Studio it will be housed in the wrapper. Click on the Powerplug icon in the top left of the wrapper and select > Browse Parameters.

This will bring up a menu in the browser with a list of all the Automatable Parametres. Sometimes if you twiddle a knob on the VST it will highlight which parameter it is in the browser. Usually they will have obvious names like Cut, Res, FltrEnvATT etc etc.

If you right click on the parameter you are able to choose different options.

You can "Edit Events" Where you can manually "draw" in the automation curves, This also has a pretty basic LFO utility to draw waves with.

You can "Creat an Automation Clip" which you then drop into the "Clip Section" of your Playlist/Sequencer.

Or you can "Link To controller".

This option allows you to Link your Midi Controller. Just twiddle the pot/key/slider/button you want to use and you are done!!
