Hello all.
So... I have been really curious lately if the music I've been producing lately would go over well with the psy crowd. It seems to me, that the psy crowd can be quite selective with what they want to hear.
I started spinning psy and going to psy events quite a while ago.
A couple years ago, I started producing my own music, but even though it is heavily influenced by psychedelic trance, (if I had to describe it) it is actually mid tempo funky psy breaks.
Due to being so involved with producing my own material, I have been hugely disconnected from the psy loop, and many other loops at that.
I would love to get some feedback from a psytrancer's point of view. On my page there are a couple tracks that are pretty psychedelic. One is called Mr. Lemurian (inspired by Lemurians). And the other is called Space Vagina.
...but then there is another called Gangsta' Goose, which is much funkier, and this one I am really curious about. I like it.
But would a psy-head?
It's 115 bpm but I think it is still aggressive enough to be in the main room as opposed to the chill room.
Well, many thanks for taking the time to read this, and even bigger thanks if I get some feedback from you.

Thanks much for the feedback.
Anyone else?
I'm aware my tracks are not something a psy DJ would would necessarily buy at the store or play at the party.
But I'm more curious, is it something maybe the people on the floor would actually want to hear and dance to, or would it just clear the floor?
And to be clear, I'm looking for total honest opinions here.

interesting, a friend of mine makes stuff just as you've described and he too feels connected to the psy scene but doesn't feel fully accepted because there is no real place for him (at the moment at least). I say keep going with it, there are people catching on to the psybreaks thing, I really hope to see it expand and get into some big festivals soon!

I love breaks.
But
This kind of music, unless there's 2nd stage@psyparty, won't blend into psytrance vibe imho.
Anyway pleease keep us up to date with your new music.
Are you performing@BM?
Peace.

I've played a couple times at burningman. I don't have a lot of connections due to living in a small town, but I am moving to SF next week, so hopefully next year I will have some things lined up out there.
I would be happy to keep you guys up to date, because like I said, my music is fully inspired by psy trance.
Thanks very much. I'm starting to get the feeling, this style I'm working with would tend to not go over well on a main psy stage. And I fully appreciate the honest feedback. Thank you everyone.
