i had one for a long time so maybe i can drop one or two lines about it.

first it's a cheap synth so don't expect to have sharp sound of a nordlead or a virus.

however it can make excellent fx's, descent leads, and gorgeous pads.. bass are ok but imo more suitable for dnb than for psy.

programming is not easy while you have to go in menus.. korg provide a utility to programm it that ease the process a little

hope this help

Shure it's better to have possibility to record real-time vocoding, than to mess up with software vocoding...

i have messed with one for a while... i hate the menu system. thats the worst part of this synth. it takes 4 extra steps to change an element which only takes 1 on other synths. menu driven synths arnt worth the trouble, if you ask me. i really like the size, vocoder, and many of the sounds this thing can make. if you are willing to work with the menus, go for it. get it.           The IsraTrance MySpace Group:

i must admit, it's not complex, its just an extra step that gets between me and creating the sound i want. time consuming more than difficult.

ill try to find a quote from the manual on how the system works.           The IsraTrance MySpace Group:

i just bought the korg micro today, it was on sale in a shop. I think it sounds quite well, but i havent made a track with it, and yes the menus do seem quite tricky

well its cause it have like5-7 controlers only, so u need to switch the bigger wheel to get to the point of menu then just play with the knob.
its like x-y

knob1 - knob2 -knob3

A cutoff - resonan -env

B attack - decay - realese

...

now turn the wheel from A-B will change what the knob controls.

ya i do agree that it is kind of hard to get through menu, but u get used to it and pretty fast, it becomes a habit when u turn on the synth
