Mic into logic??

hey guys i bought a microphone, and im not quite sure how to make it work in logic 5.5
I mean the path to connect this Mic to one of the insert channels.
can anybody help me out?

Once you arm an audio channel for a recording (R), you will hear the input of the channel, you adjust what you need.
Press record on the transport to record into timeline.

well, also before arming, you need in the mixer section right above where you have the channel's output, there is a spot for inputs, click and chose your input for the channel, then arm as trip said.
