They should've been named OMFG not MFG
You are correct, the chance of this being a software synth is small, could be some jp or prophet

I think the kickdrum can be made for example with an SH-09 synth. What to use for the bass?

Generally speaking, I don't see why anyone would not use the SH-09 for bass as well.
As for this tune I don't have speakers, so I don't know what they used.
Peace out.

Tried one out when I was in Uni. sounds phatter than the SH-101, which is redundant!...considering how phat the SH-101 sounds.
I know its not IR filter based, think its descrete circuit, could be wrong though.
Anyhow, it was extremely overpriced in 2002, so I am guessing it still is. Its a bitch to keep it in tune and I would only buy one today if it was recently restored, using the same components (if they are still being produced).
Peace.

I have a SH-2 and it does indeed sound fat, perhaps fatter than an SH-09. you can hear it on several of my tracks esp tale of 2 universes, the wizard of oi, and plush infinite sky where it is used in adundance.
it would be good for bass, but i didnt have much luck with gate/CV (timing is bad). which leaves you to sampling which is kind of redundant if you have any sample libraries. great for analog style sound effects, and bass type leads. one thing soft or hardware digital will NEVER stand up to an analog in is pitch bend. the thing is juicy!
Gamma Riders EP out now on iTunes and Amazon.com!
