Hey guys hope you are enjoying the sun and fun.
I am thinking about coming on 1st of july and leaving on 31st of september.
Will there be any parties during this period? What will the weather be like? Will there be thousands of americans? Are they any untouched shanti places where like minded people can relax? Heard cancun can like florida and quite up for 'hippie' retreats from this.
If anyone has time to answer any of my questions would be much appreciated....

Well, 4 sure there will be parties in mexico, the weather may range from a rainny 2 sunny, but no xtreme colds, just make sure 2 pack a couple of light jackets, and if u r going 2 cancun, well obviously a couple of bermudas would do!

can you recomend any amaxin places where people chill around mexico. Is there a 'goa' of mexico or any highlands where like minded people get away from it all

theres a beach called Mazunte in Oaxaca its cool man you could go there chill out, trough a joint or something better hehehe , its very cheap, the beach is beautiful . that could be a good place i think

Mazunte and the oaxaca coast is totally a must when coming to mexico my personal recomendation is aguablanca beach over there
And there is a place like no other in the universe i dare to say... its edward james' surreal garden placed in xilitla over the wonderfull san luis potosi

u actually can rent a room inside the garden and explore it by day or night
For parties the only recomendation is stay away from mexico city. check the links given above

There are some options beside great beachs in mexico u can go to San cristobal de las casas, that place is in chiapas it's on high very high lands and the athmosphere is just great a lot of people from europe chilling and having a great time there, there is also Tepoztlan near Cuernavaca city on Morelos State, that place is veryu mistic and has a Hindu type vibe, a lot of artist's used to live there Sirius isness for example..

Whats wrong with parties in mexico city
does anyone know any specific parties in the period i will be there. GMS play quite alot- wll they be around

One groovy place is Palenque. You have some of the best Maya ruins and the place atracts lots of very interesting people. Like for example Terrence Mckenna gave one of his last psychedelic conferences there. And all around there are cow pastures where psychedelic shrooms grow, so you get a lot of people tripping out there. Stay in the little hotel huts near the ruins called Mayabell. You are next to the jungle and walking distance from the ruins and you meet really cool people.
The coast in Oaxaca like mazunte or chacahua like some mentioned is a nice option. The cancun area is totaly touristy although there are some areas that are much more hippy oriented like playa gatos near Tulum and PLaya del Carmen. And the beaches there are amazing and there is a lot to see there like cenotes and maya ruins. And you do get your ocassional psy party as well.

Hello Loyd, dandan here, Mexico is so multidimensional, you can find almos whatever you are looking for here... if you like to relax and be shanti and enjoy nature, definitely go to Mahahual, mayan mexican land... enjoy... |

yes, Id recomend also all Oaxaca beaches, and Chiapas, Guanajuato and Michoacan....
Mexico City is very cosmopolitan and you will be robbed hahahhaha, true.....
Here is no good psyparty, all are outside... here also if you find anything, it will be a Full On shit party.... and for that, is better you stay home. Go other mexican city.... |
