came there on friday afternoon and was wellcomed by very nice people, lets say no more then 30 people, mixed crowed of very nice people that came to the mazada, knowing no much alternatives to camp in other parts of israel (without realy good accomodation) in that time of the year, very worm atmosphere was all the time, powered only by nature and by someone's car PA.
organizers brought a cook that was preparing cooscoos, hamin, shakshooka, sallads, latkes... alcohol was around the whole time (could say that Arak redbull was the official refresher) and a very special guests were in charge of the mizvot part, and im not talking about the usual hanuka+shabat stuff, this guys actually were kind of shamen in that event, they were doing the "kabalat shabat" willing for very very specific part of the evening, starts with red wine, tern to arak, then vodka.... then saturday they went to "pray" in the mountains around and backed up their prayers by e, they must be an essence in the future of party scene.
even if it was just a few people event it was a succesfull one for whoever there, and people stay till saturday afternoon and kept the good vibe, till the verry last moment, and i mean, sitting by the fire, everyone sparing whatever they brought with the other, cooking pitta on the fire, walking on the mountains around and so...
talking about the music there (which was as said before, on a kind of whoever of the dj that will be threre will play basis) wasn't something to bother if you weren't there, cause it was good and fit only for whoever were there the whole time and never botherd by none of the PA and even if it was for most of the time kind of chillout,djembe, didjridou and darbooka it was the right groove at the right moment.
the highlight of party for me was zohar playing beat bizarre-lawd at 3am while people were still calling to ask for directions, then about an hour late, was about 50 people digging by the fire like no tommorow.

after reading uzi's aftermatch i feel really sorry that we didnt stay there.. I hope there will be more things like that.. like mini-shantipi.. small shantipi with no commercial shit and stuff. just a bunch of freaks having fun in the nature =) |
