Now now You know that's not what I meant I bet you don't look at the stickers at all when you use a shortcut           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Screen or keyboard? Doesn't stop me using my ears either way.

I just thought those stickers were good, just to get to learn all the shortcuts fast.

OK then all those pro engineers that use them are making it up

Well to be honest I saw just one guy using them and he was making some rock..
Colin said it, its great for newbies, but not necessary stickers, printout sticked to the side of a screen is good enough, PDF also if ur a quick learner..
But yeah, your theory stands also, keyboard or screen.. U should ultimately use only your ears without looking @ either.. So ultimately u would use only midi keyboard or hardsynth relying only on your touch and ears.. But with vsts u have to look and with keyboard u have to type, they are made for that.. Keyboard is not meant for watching..
Those stickers are like those gamers keyboards with weapons instead of numbers, nice add but really not necesary once it becomes your second nature.. Its only important how good u play..
P.S. Dont take off your stickers if u already have them, they might come in handy if u dont use some shortcut regularly and u forgot it..          http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

i can understand what Colin suggests, but anyway you can always customize anytime your shortcuts, ive changed a lot of them and still got the stickers on, cause only by the coloring they help you to distinct keys better even if you change the default ones

Protools uses fixed short cuts so that when you go from studio to studio they are the same. They also use colour coding on their keyboard.

Its easy to make your ours stickers...buy a stiker blank paper and print yours stickers! I will make a list with hot keys and pratice to use it!!

Other good way to keep all organized is group it!
How you group your channels?
Actually I use

Kick+Bass / Snare+hat+HiPerc / Ambience / Leads / Rest

for the Save problem I use love the autosave by undo-history of Ableton...
