Frederik Hatsav and Jamie Kidd joined forces to create the new Metalogic sound - edgy, dynamic and highly rhythmic electronic music. Their first output on Nachtstrom Schallplatten is a true highlight full of fresh and deep techno-tracks. The more you will play this amazing record, the more it will surprise and catch you. Based in Toronto since 1997, Frederik Hatsav founded Metalogic in 2002. Evolving from a passion for punk rock and industrial into the modern styles of techno and electro, the influence from several artists including Atom Heart, Extrawelt, Whignomy Brothers, Surgeon, and Speedy J. could be felt throughout. This early work culminated in the release of the full length album 'Magnetic Influence' in 2005.
These accomplishments continued a desire for further growth, and Frederik asked musician and dj Jamie Kidd to join the project in 2006. Having performed and recorded as a bassist in various funk, jazz, and rock bands, Jamie injected the experience and energy of live music to help develop a fresh, driving minimal sound. The first of these collaborations was the hypnotic and percussive 12 inch ep 'Atom Eater' released in 2007 on Brooklyn's Addon. The duo's follow up EP 'Boxed and Warped' was released by legendary techno label Hidden Agenda and has been charted by artists such as Perc, Extrawelt, Alex Bau, Frankie Bones, Tony Rohr, John Selway and Someone Else. Most recently, a collaboration with Dietrich Schoenemann has resulted in the 'No Scarf, No Strasse' 12inch, which has been supported by Christian Smith, Abe Duque, Adam Beyer, Dustin Zahn, Len Faki and Alexi Delano.
This release is strongly supported by artists such as Tony Rohr, Perc, Xpansul, Dietrich Schoenemann, Brian Sanhaji, Alex Bau, Extrawelt, the Delta and many more!!!
As a special goodie, Nachtstrom Schallplatten will soon release a remix-ep of the 'Cabin Pressure' 12 inch which will contain remixes of techno-heavyweights Brian Sanhaji (CLR), Perc (CLR, Drumcode, Perctrax)and Dietrich Schoenemann (Hidden Agenda)!!!

the Atom Bells Rework is my fav here.

Awesomeeeee, i heared the samples on webshop and will get this release for sure. love this twisted obscure metalogic sounds. if you compare with old release of metalogic on boshke beats for example the new songs are more having an own style. is always good when projects develop this way.

Check out the review of Metalogic's Cabin Pressure EP in Germany's biggest electronic music magazine Raveline:
"Unconventional freaky floorburner as techno/minimal-hybrid of the most pleasant type, which crosses the most sticky bass-tentacles with post-rave-techno-soundsplits and minimal sounds so vehemently, until you don't know what hits you anymore. Furthermore an EP-title which here makes sense in a really obsessive way, because only Joey Beltram's 'Energy Flash' has been fitting better retrospectively seen as the title of 'Deterrent' on A2!" (6 out of 6 points!!!)
