this sunday together with me comrad Barak Hayun we have a very special hypnotic session together with Merv Pepler who is half of EAT STATIC who just came for a visit in the holly land for a warm up for the legendary space rock band OZRIC TENTACLES who will perform next friday 28/4 @ the Barbi. 
Eat Static has been formed in 1989 by Merv Pepler (the drummer), Joie Hinton (keyboards) and Steve Everitt from their former band Wooden Baby. 
the statics were more fond of the raving side of the electronic music and therefore after performing with the Ozrics untill 1994 and after the success of their second album that came out in that year Implant they have decided to leave the group and concentrate on their own material. Eat Static main purpuse was to play live and managed to make it much more than a laptop and pretending to press some buttons... the band is combining many genres such as Techno, Drum N' Bass, Ambient Dub, Break Beat, Jazz and even some Latino. Merv himself has been associated with many groups such as Champagne Charlie, De-Fex, Flexitones, Metal Sharon and solo project such as Dendron

wow what a ride.. its so fun to meet with such a professional and interesting artist and see that after 17 years of eating static he still have so much creativity and excitment
