Thanx to a friend who made me listen to the album "Journey of a Dervish" (1999) I have visited today his website...
it is @ http://www.mercan-dede.com
For those who wouldn't know this born-Turkish-leaving-in-Montreal artist, I STRONGLY recommand U to discover this very talented musician...
He released his last album in 2002, "NAR" and offers to download in Lo-Fi the whole tracks of the album..
He is a very skilled 'Ney' player, an unrecognized kind of flute which deliver a sound more in the bass tones.. & he also pratices bendir, frame drum, zarp and udu drum... (!!! please don't ask me what those instruments loOk like.. )
This is mixed with live instruments and electrOnic stuff..
And.... believe me.. it is BEAUTIFUL
Peace to all Readers..
P.S - Have a loOk at his "Tour" section... it is..."special"
& CAUTION !!
~ This is not Psychedelic Music...

Short addiction :
Reading his biography learned me that As Arkin Allen (his Dj Name), "he contributed a track to the compilation Interior Horizons on Interchill Records (UK), as well as producing and mixing the compilation Omniscience in co-operation with his own label SugarMonk and UK/Canada based label Interchill. Omniscience features a diverse selection of original works by a host of artists, including a track by Allen himself, as well as co-productions with New York-based Jesse Owens-Sims, Montreal`s Nikola T, and Istanbul's dj Can".
Let's try to catch Interior Horizons @ an online-shop, KakoO.....
