Hey ppl, i have AMD Athlon XP1800 running on GigaByte GA 7VTXE+ Motherboard with VIA KT266A Chipset, now i wonder what memory chips i can put on the MoBo?
Is my upper limit is 266Mhz chips or i can put also 333/400/433 Mhz chips?
And what are the recommended brands?
Thanx in advance, Pavel

It doesn't matter for your mobo anyway...
but I think the new ones are better with faster ones.

Back to the topic.
I am looking for a MoBo that will work with my oldie AMD1800 and will support the newer CPU's as well for further upgrades, and also supports 400Mhz memo cards.
Any help?

Oh... A friend of mine with P4 1700 just bought a new GigaByte Mobo that supports his CPU and also the new HT CPU's so i thought that the same thing will apply for AMD.
I wanna upgrade Memory and Mobo and later buy the Athlon64 CPU, because they still are pretty pricey.
Thanx anyways.
