You should deffenitly tjek out "Matt Coldrick: Music for a busy head"
"Music For A Busy Head comprises seven works, each piece is written in a key that resonates with one of the main chakras or energy centres of the body. So, by listening to the album from start to finish the listener is given a subtle sonic massage. All the tempos on Music For a Busy Head are below 65 beats per minute, the average heart rate at rest. This will help draw the listener towards semi-consciousness where much of the body's best self-healing work takes place."

You will find lots of stuff when you search this forum including Ishq, Jairamji, Makyo, Anahata but a recent album I would like to point out is "Jadur-Madur- Dream tree project" a collaboration between Adham Shaikh and Uwe Neumann. |

I didn't find anything when I searched for "meditation" or "meditate" on the forum - so I think should add some more I like.
Ambient Meditations Series by RTTS
http://www.discogs.com/label/Return+To+The+Source
H.U.V.A. network - I find Solar Fields too ambient and Aes Dana is bit more busy for meditative music - so a collaboration between two is perfect...
But it also highlights the problems with finding music which would work for everyone.

I listened to some samples on Saikosounds of "Music for a busy head". Sounds good, I think I will order it.
Yesterday there was documentary in National Geographic (I think) about whales singing, and there's a cd called "Sonds of the humpback whale". Besides the fact of just hearing the whales sing is so profound, I think it can be perfect for meditation.

i have been exploring recently the works of steve roach...i can recommend dream circle... a classic in this genre
also another artist which i think must be mentioned on this forum is Oophoi, from italy...he makes the most engaging moody deep ambient from organic sounds and has an extensive catalog...which I need to discover, so far 'the spirals of time' & 'static soundscapes' would work, theres probably many more.
