I'm not volunteer.. it's just for a piece of advice..

In the search tool :

type : Medicine Drum

fill : "all of the terms"

and then... it's magic.. You have a few threads dealing indirectly with them.. and a few elements of answer..

Welcome here and happy nu year..           .

First of all, you are wrong. There are quite a few girls in the forum.

Second, I heard Medicine Drum - Talking Stick and I liked it very much. They got a unique style, not really defined. Alot of tribal sounds.
I know that Banco de Gaia & Seb Taylor took part of this album as well. Very recommended!           Live for the journey, not the destination.

Hi psygirl,
:)
Got already all of Medicine Drum's tracks.
the problem is that i can't find similiar music that combines ambient and tribal elements (with emphasis on "tribal") but thanks to 2 all, i believe there's still a
chance.

Maybe you should try Zion - Epic released on tribal Records.
It has alot of tribal elements and ritual beats similar to Medicine Drum. It's style is somewhere between downbeat and psytrance. Very cool album.           Live for the journey, not the destination.

You might also want to take a look at Sonic Fusion they were a lot into the whole tribal trance music.

Hey hello!

Since you like the stuff from medicine drum, maybe you want check these:

*asura - code eternity : ambient dance with heavy beats. quite impressive

and

*asura - lost eden : ethno ambient. very nice

O yes and also;

*Aba Structure, (i think already released two albums) who is a guy, with classical training in violin, that has been working and touring along with medicine drum.

Here is a link : http://www.abastructure.net

Happy nu year!

HI Butter,
it's quite difficult to find artist who produce the same music as Medicine drum.
I love Talking sticks but I don't really like Original face.(It's a bit cheesy in my opinion)
Try the following two:
VIBRASHERE - Lime structure
A.B DIGERIDOO

Well, that's one of the reasons i like Medicine Drum's music. It's different in a way. something between Ambient and soft Trance, i think.
Anyway, I agree with u that "Talking stick" is more interesting (Specially "Minaret" and "Slipstrem").

All the best!
