Meat Axe is the breaks project and brain child of Tim Hanlon and Daniel Verbi. After touring Australia for eight years as the internationly known dark psy act Hefty Output, a change in tempo was long overdue. A year on, Meat Axe have played in Tokyo, and all around australia. With a track released on Zenon's Permutations Vol. 2 already out, Hand Jobs for the Loser Crowd will be their debut EP on Disconekta.
Tim and Dan are like a futuristic techno version of Voltron except there's only two lions and one of them is a bit of a jerk and you don't have to hassle your mum to give you each separate bit for birthdays and Christmas over the course of three years (which sucks because that rich prick from school got them all for no reason...and his Dad drives this radical Trans-am with sweet rims and
his Mum has an ample kaboose and is well bangin').
When they join together they raid your stash and make this music that sounds kind of like your Nintendo did just before it started doing that thing where the screen flashes on and off and you really want to play River City Ransom, except the snares are well large and the bassline goes NEOW-NEOW-NEOWNEOWNEOWWWW in some vaguely interesting patterns.
