Few corrections, MDMA are not the biggest trance distributors in Israel for a while now. Second, Cosmophilia is being distributed by Phonokol for more than a month now.
The interesting question is who will distributed Wirikuta that takes care of all the smaller labels and doesn't really get to Israel at all for a long time now.
And Nadi- I'm with you

Shahar, that's good news that I wasn't aware of. I'll have to talk to Phonokol again.
About Wirikuta I think that they come in sort of a package with Cosmophilia.
About the Small ones.... who knows.

mdma don't fall never for me. mdma is a big distributor in israel too. it's not the biggest but is a great distributor too. it's not going to fall easily

You people really need to touch base with reality. MDMA Music Ltd., the distribution company has declared bankruptcy status and thus ending 5 years of significant activities in Israel and abroad.
Its band declared that the company has reached its credit limit and within 24 hours the bank closed down this business and nothing else.
For all you genious out there, MDMA stopped all its import as of the end of last year and focused only on local releases which they have exported internationaly with growing success.
When you add the horrible situastion in Israel in the last 8 months and the decline in international sales nothing could have saved this from happening.
You people may seat down and mumbo jumbo your speculations, however, most of you moderators to this topic were actually "eating" out of MDMA's plate for a long period of time, and specificly I'll reffer to people like Borris, Shahar, Guy to name only few.
Do you people know the meaning of the latin word "equilibrium"??? The balance in the Trance scene is now dissrupted, the pre-mature death of MDMA Music Ltd. caused one big vacum here in Israel and pretty soon this is something everyone will feel.
Artists, DJ's, labels, media people etc., now there are only two walls to break your head to, bne vs phonokol, and guess whos the meat for these sharks? all of you....
The same exsistence of MDMA is what gave birth to competition, which leads to better terms for artists, more work for dj's, better CD releases etc.
Now read what I wrote again and start think what will happend now to people who gonna look for a company that will put out their music? what options they have? not much I would say...
The only good thing that can come out this is maybe that new labels will grow stronger and fulfil this black hole that MDMA has left us with.
I know that this may come with a slight delay, but its better late than never.

well shadow, after your horrifying description of our dying society let me blow some hope into you.
We, that means DOMO RECORDS, have started to distribute N.T.T in Israel and will start to distribute COSMOPHILIA, and some more international labels exclusively in Israel as of next month so that fills up the music vacum for you.
I want to calm you in some more aspects, I dont know if you know any of us but our main goal throughout the years was to help the scene in all aspects possible from the party side, managing to create firm tribal roots in Israel and with the help of some very good people along the years confirmed to all the world that we have a very solid underground society,side by side with the commercial one .
What we are trying to do at the moment is waken up the music society here by taking care of the aspects which were neglected by electronic music distributors, such as the connection with the crowd, still being a part of the scene and not isolated in the acropolis just because we are "the distributor". we will try to get the prices of our products to be as fair as possible (within our limits of course)
and to try and liven up the vinyl dj society which is napping somewhere waiting for some real music to get here.
To add things up- we really believe that the electronic music scene (especially trance and chill out) is now beginning it's revision and it seems its going to a good change.
We truly believe that it's sleeping and not dead like some people say in the industry.
But time will tell

As one baba I knew used to say: Funny people...
What was I eating exactly from MDMA plate, Mr. Shadow? (why hide?). Please enlighten me...
And if we're talking about meals- I think MDMA was eating from our plate when we worked hard a few hours every day for no money (weird concept, ah?), just to promote the music and the artists around it (which is alright, it was intended to be free meals from the start). Not that MDMA helped much, when we had to run after them to get the releases so we can publish and review them (for them and the artists, not for us...).
I say MDMA people should reflect on themselves instead of complaining and fantasizing about restaurants. And to go on with the culinary metaphore- you eat what you cook
And as for that vacuum, I'm optimistic- I have a feeling it would fill up pretty quickly (it already started), and I'm not sure it's not gonna be for the best.
I can say a lot more about few more points in your post- but first reveal yourself- I don't like to talk to shadows.

i was holding up pritty well till you wrote your delluseonal massege. thank kobi Farhi Dede yuval dalados for all the good that was coming out of mdma well the rest broght you guyes to this place , i can say alot of things abaot your massege but will not go so low and give you the food that you for shure in this times need so much on your plate
i just wanted to mention this names because thay were mdma and thanks to them the boolshit that was going on there was covered up. karma rools are: you eat what you cook the conclusions i leave for you all to make,
there are inogh good people in the scean that are going to change this fealling and that will do a great job distrebuting , that is if the lables out there did not give up on israel because of mdma ,so all of you do not worry abaot distrebution and think how you can benefit = by trying to buy cds keep the positiv att. going to partyes and making music. lets leave the bueisness to the beuisness people and with the righit att aventuallyTHE GOOD ALWYES WINS! |
