Sometimes some cheap and crappy built-in AD/DA's
can destroy the sound well , but if we put some
MD compression on top of it 
Why ? I don't know , anyway DATs much better.
For real FAT "Lo-Fi" sound you don't need to buy expansive MD system , u can record to walkman 
Btw , i was recordin' some drumz to my sony walkman recorder , it adds some nice compression to it , i talk about volume compression ofcourse.
