except for fun i don t see the point of making synth in these apps right now with all the good vsti (i have a limited experience but maybe when reaktor 6 is out i ll change my mind but right now to make a synth that sound better than the average seems impossible to me with reaktor and the experienced users that use it since years)for me the strenght of these apps and where there is room for improvment for psytrance are clearly sound generators, sequencers, sound manglers...and not synths |

I would include the last part in what I ment with the word "synths" in what I've posted so far. I didn't mean that either of these programs are good for trying to clone a virus. Thats a complete waste of time in both programs.
Reaktor can do so much that is not available as a vst. Max could too but its just not worth the time to get to that level(and even if you did you would be better off having spent that time getting to a higher level with reaktor)
I'm been trying getting into analog modulars, since reaktor isn't analog i thought i would try to build and "fm modular"..just started with it but its getting some pretty cool sounds already. Why reaktor kills max though is i don't even know what 50% of the macros/modules are doing under the hood, just how to connect stuff. Good luck doing anything with max with only knowing what 50% of the patch is doing.

i tested it from clipboard and it seems to work. if there is something wrong let a brother know. =)
couple things...
there is an audio file maker/recorder... so you can save your kicks...
signal path is... pitch1 + pitch2 * amp... to huge filter, to graphic eq, to reverb, bitcrusher, compressor...
if you want to make any changes go for it.
im still a big fan of bazzism for kicks..... and i havent even used my max/msp kicksynth in conjunction with a great bassline vst in ableton yet....
but im sure it would sound just fine.

i was browsing through the truckloads of content in ableton suite and i found all these formant eq presets, interesting...
my experience with reaktor is also pretty good now but i'll save that for another thread.
