Forget it mate! Do you know how anal they are about drugz there? You cant even buy Rizzla on the island, they are illegal! They shut down all the backpackers and cheap accomodation, its only boring expensive hotels. A few years aga, they came down heavy on the local rastas, one guy was even killed by police brutality. This is not a country to go to enjoy freedom.
And yet, with all these controls, they have the biggest heroin problem in Africa. |

hmmm.. i almost started this same thread out here myself.. Was there for the 1st week of march.. kind of a wierd place actually.. the entire place is empty by 7.00.. no nite life whatsoever.. i couldn't really enjoy the beaches either cos of the cyclonic weather.. was stuck in a hotel for three days.. Some places just arent meant for parties no matter how beautiful they are.. its a honey moon spot where ppl go for peace and quiet.. i would suggest it for meditation though...
BOOM
The only things i can see clearly without glasses are dreams... |

How about the global trance scene engaging in a non violent war to free these islands of their stupid rulerz...
Then we could party in International waters, i bet the rastas would enjoy getting their Rizla's back...
-Just dreaming!
BTW how many live there (non tourists)?

Around 1,200,000 (June 2006 est.).We were hassled by customs officials when we landed, probably being young travelers arriving alone. We didn't feel welcome until we got to the hotel. |
