thinking to buy this souncard, just to run traktor on it. not so much for producing.
its usb powered which looks nice to me. no extra powertrafo to carry.

anyone having or heard of problem issues with it? or any good experiences?

did not manage to find anyting in the search about it

it freezes when i turn the fan / light etc on or off in my room .. shifted thrice and the problem remains , i imagine it`d be a nightmare on stage .. others here reported the same problem .

I use the fast track pro in a live context and have never had any problems at all in the slightest...

I can't imagine what on earth you are talking about it freezing when you turn the light on ....sounds pretty bizzare if you ask me!

100% sturdy little piece of machinery that has not let me down so far in the slightest. Not the most fantastic of audio interfaces in the world but it does the job nicely thank you.

I agree with mk47. I would say a big no to fast track pro. I used to love this interface till it gave me big troubles, one of which is mentioned by mk47 and another problem is of distorted sound.i have seen a few more ppl having the same problem.it seems that sooner or later it does give some pain. I cant trust maudio sound cards after this big mistake.            Truth will always guard our souls......

ok, thanks guys,

you probably saved me a headache.

to mk47: sounds like a problem with the electric grounding in your room. check it out, it can fuck up your computer also. but good to know. in 2 places where i played recently there were also problems with grounding so its clear this box is not so suited for me as i can expect this in more places (overhere in costarica).. also dont trust this so much for generator parties. so ok..

still i am looking for a small box that is powered by the laptop and allows to to monitor the next track in traktor. any hints?

the FW version of maudio´s audiophile is because of the lack of big FW pins on the labtop still dependent on a powertrafo and even the shortest powercut forces then to close and start up the whole thing, which sucks ffcourse. so i am lookin for USB card.

1 advantage with this card is that you can use Protools M-Powered.

the only reason i got the idea for an Maudio card is the A/B switch that allows me to monitor the next upcoming track in traktor. for producing i am happy with my 828FW.

sofar i only found two Maudio´s delivering this, the audiophileFW and the one here discussed.

is there another affordable card out there giving this monitor cue option?

I have a tapco link usb. Very good, sturdy too, and not too expensive. Made by mackie too, so its really good.
