Style - Blissful Atmospheric Ambient
Tracklist -

1 Terra Firma (12:08)
2 The Band From Atlantis (12:21)
3 Fire Dance (14:17)

A blissful poetic journey into various landscapes and ambinet visions careful crafted by Matt Hillier whos the main composer behind Ishq and Matt Coldrick whos is/was a part of Green Nuns Of The Revolution (1995) who were famous for their acidic psychedelic trance in the late nineties (rock bitch video anyone? ) and the mind behind the album classic mind and soul stimulating album "Music For A Busy Head" in 2001 ....i think this album has been re released last month or so ....

I found something really intresting about Matt Hillier on discogs "Ishq works out of Prism, a tetrahedron shaped recording studio
installed at the Cornwall's 'Light Synthesis Trust', a psychoacoustic facility where funded research is undertaken into the use of light and sound in mind expansion, healing, and sound's purpose as an evolutionary force." now dosnt that sound out of this world !!!

Review -
People familiar with the Ishq style of music would definitely fall in love with this album right from track one. So take out your yoga mats, light some incense sticks and get ready to explore a whole new synthesis between electronic and organic sound textures

1. Terra Firma - Starts of with some great pads which give me a very spacy feel ...the track starts picking up some pace around 2.00 ...i think its a santoor being played at the background along with a flute with a perfectly matched slow beat to teleport u back to agra ...a very spacy one and a half minute break sets in at around 6.00 ...12 minutes pass by like a second ...

2. The Band From Allantis - this one can be best described as a 12 minute journey from warm atmospheric ambient to tripped out pink floyd kind of music with the guitars and psychedelic synth lines ...one of the highlights on this album ...10/10 for this one

3. Fire Dance - a more chaotic track as compared to the rest of the album ...it even has a dark feel to it at certain places with the pads ... i could even do the tribal dance at place ....thumbs up again

4. Where The Evening Meets The Sky - the shortest track on the cd but good things come in small sizes ....the acoustic guitar strums add to the bliss factor ....a perfect sunrise track ...

5. Air - "24 minutes to nirvana" thats how i would describe this track ...not one of my favourites but turn this on if your looking for floaty music to sleep to ...

wow
simply magnificent
extremely intense music
if you are looking for [insert specific genre here], you do not need this; if however, there is a possibility of being stranded on a desert island, make this the one cd you have with you.
9.5/10 (have yet to rate something as 10/10)          Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

I agree. Some good ambient here, and I really like the last track as well. I simply love deep and long ambient pieces. People that really like this stuff as well should check out cd's from the likes of: Robert Rich, Steve Roach, Brian Eno, Oophoi, Vir Unis, Liquid Morphine etc. For more dark ambient I'd advise: Deathprod, Lustmord and especially the 'Nostromo' release by Sleep Research Facility. For great ambience you can always look beyond your own 'safe, little' scene           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

i cannot get over this cd
bloody fantastic
i don't think i have heard this 100 times yet, but i am quickly getting there
this can be in the cd player on repeat for days, and will only keep getting more interesting and detailed.

thank you so much mr coldrick and hillier for being the channels

because i do not believe that humans composed this
the beauty is unhumanlike

this is what trance is all about for me

raw, pure, beautiful

these two have finally achieved in music what only other person has achieved for me previously, henry miller, that is making me cry and laugh at the same time           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

terra firma is surely in my all time favourite list           the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!!
