Then prove, you can. I can't so i shut up, maybe even can't do what Skazi does.
To say if some player plays well or not you should have an experience. You don't have experience in music then you can't say whether something good or bad. It is not emotions you have when you see player, it is about quality which is fact. |

I'm well aware of this, hence why I was complaining about it. That said, the fact remains that to most people, both here and in the realm of major record labels, the number one concern everyone seems to have about mastering is how loud the cd is, with this mistaken idea that louder is better. Spend some time on the various forums that real mastering engineers frequent and you'll see most of them complaining endlessly how they are being pressured my labels, etc into making the cds louder and louder regardless of what else it does to the music.

well to start mastering is not something as easy as u can think , i speak as sond engineer student, it's a varied process who have has objective to equilibrate and distribute musical structure to get the perfect combination, it's a long process that shure is an important part of the final result of a track , a mastering is not something u can adquire in a week and is ok , is along learning process , where u get experience and have an consistant influence on the final result yes, anyway just to inform those people who think is just a final touch it's a final step in the building, good vibes

I don't think Ott nor DS nor MA mastering is that special.

Ott's work is superb when concerning sound (not talking about other superb sides of his). Mastering Shpongle, and being part of sound production of The Orb and Sinead O'connor and brian eno...

but anyway,
if you say you can do better in the future, means you have some positive goal good luck

as long as it sounds good baba.. and at best mastering is 10% of the album, it's the music that matters the most..

i dont think you know what youre saying traveller... composing a track may take less then the actual mix/master.
|
|
Gadi... when that happens, and i hope it doesn't happen too often, it prolly means that the tune got crapped.
Or the musician who made it was the worst enemy of the sound engineer who worked after that.

One good point Kino Oko said, UNDER OUR CONTROL.
Imho, mastering should be done under artists control as well. Mastering should be controlled by artists nor label manager who know nothing about production or sound design. |
