can anyone explain what for is a m/s decoder in the mastering chain? .. I read that it is mostly used in mastering but I still dont have a clue about this method anyhwere,only know that it is very usefull for microphone recordings,really lack of this in my understanding unfortunately.

but like colin said, he did it fast.

yeah it's not perfect I guess, but the clearness that he added to the mix is really noticeable.

By the way at 1:45. The way that that lead comes in is awesome lol.

jup, the clearness is really nice...

and the lead kick in^^... i "stole" the idea from an infamous artist... well, like everyone try to imitate what he likes.

I can not download both versions due to bandwidth limit.
Is there a huge improvement to your sound after Colin mastered? can u describe the difference? does it sound more pro?

i spend a lot of hours on my mix. I want to know if 50euro will give it that extra pro touch i'm looking for.

hi, what i made is a little comparision between the unmastered and Colins mastered version (thanks again Colin!).

the first part is always the unmastered, the second is the mastered.
dont forget, i reduced the mastered tracks volume for better comparision.

Would be quite interesting to hear a comparisson without the masters' volume adjusted down too

Yeah this could be interesting, particularly as both the mastered and unmastered versions peak at exactly the same level
