came back from work today - sitting down in front of the computer, playing some music, lowering volume on my keyboards hotkeys.

windows raising the master volume itself to maximum. WTF ?!?

happening over and over again! The volume slider raises as soon as I touch it.

Disconnected keyboard, no suspicios tasks running. I don't understand what's happening.

Google didn't help - maybe one of you got a clue.

Gonna start Vista and Win7 tomorrow and check if it's happening there too. Ask around at my workplace. I'm puzzled.

XP SP3, kx drivers, master volume on standard volume mixer and kx mixer is possesed by a ghost ^^

happeing on vista and win7 too.

tried to start the computer without a keyboard connected, another keyboard connected.

losing my hair.

check your audio drivers. I had same problem once, only mine turned the volume all the way down.
It was becuase my 3rd party audio control panel was set to mute, while I turned up windows volume.

it was a second keyboard under a bunch of papers that still was connected and the weight of the bills pressed the hotkey -headbang-

that was just stupidity on my end!
