People usually use Massive for DnB or dubstep..
Every synth is good for creating kick or any sounds...
I was thinking the sound forge is meybe easyer for him to understand and he can also see amplitude...

I agree that there are a heap of tuts on dubstep for massive but that doesnt lock it into that genre. for the past month i'v bn really making an effort to understand all of massives functions and seriously man this is an awesum synth for psytrance.

I agree Massive is a great synth but I prefer Z3ta+,Vanguard,Karma FX,Cameleon 5000 for psy trance,Sylenth1 and my favorit Synth1...

They r all fantastic as well. I use them all too. Wen it comes to kiks we all hav our preferences.

it's the same in every synth. learn how to do it in one, then you're able to reproduce it in every synth. also look into self oscillation. adjusting the resonance and cutoff of a sine in high values brings your filter into self oscillation. capture that moment and you get some really nice kicks.
