It does, but not 1000€ sexy. The old controller slots under the macbook (15") on a stand and only adds to the height of the footprint. Unless you're playing some big festival where there is a lot of space next to the CDJs, you need to have an as small footprint as possible. + the most important thing about Maschine, that makes it what it is are the pads and the number of knobs available to tweak FX parameters in real time.
The new screens and LEDs and rotating disk thingy look great, but with that amount of cash you can get a slamming new synth, or a few moogerfoogers.

well. i can say im kinda blown away by how much they improved it, cool wee features like Step seq now you tap in the velocity instead of dialing it in with the knob
shit loads of headroom, nice a tight in the bottom end,
im on the Mk1 controller and the screens and workflow have been seriously improved, now it makes sense
sidechaining is a breeze as well, all done from the comp plug,or the filter, or gate,of limiter, or maximizer
THE DRUM SYNTHS SOUND AMAZING, all the kick have a reall weight and pressence, toms are just so well thought out, snares are bang on,
was worht the money just for these alone
the Fm plugin sounds a lot more organic now,
plate revebs descent, bus comp is gorgeous
prism fx is a nioce touch, not amazing but good enough for the odd sfx
in total a solid as fuck update, brilliant new audio engine (and quite a few re-workings of origional plugs as well)
i wouldnt call it a DAW, but its damn close
oh aye, and it also makes all your other plugins all creammy and thick as well °°°ACTS 4:12°°°° |

was reading on a french forum and it seems the update is really good.. i m updating as soon as i will update to a new os, i finish the project i m working on and i jump into montain lion or maverick with logic X and lastest version of plugs ! sweet |

and i have read it s even better built than older mashcine controller..that i find already good personnaly..
for someone that want to stick itb it make a lot of sense to me..this komplete and a few plugs..no need more but it s a bit pricy imo ..mk1 is probably really cheap second hand right now.. |

Don't like it either. Would be happy with some replacement for the midi-plug ins for 9, that's I every use it for. Handy for trying out things in hardware synths!
...
about Maschine. you guys notice a difference in the sound quality of it with this new update? think I may just grab one myself...

big difference, a lot more headroom, more organic effects and. nice top mids, really warm mid-lows and a tighter bottom end
AALTO sounds absolutely amazing in maschine 2.0
had a basic saw patch into a saturator plug and spent houres just wiggling the filter cuttoff and res, very acidic sounding now
its the same with Tal bassline as well
alittle sprinkling of saturation and a hint of filter fm and im struggling to tell the diff between hard and soft synths
aldo all hte effects have had a makeover and look and feel right now,
same with the plugin control macros, its great to have a page on the controller thats namned to correspond to the plugin, filter , vca, makes life a lot easier, dont really need to to to open the Plugin interface any more to edit.
10/10 for them getting the workflow on the controller right at last, so simle to navigate about your shit now,i thought i was just getting old and couldnt really pick it up before but it wasnt me,lol
but its still not a daw, no reall audio tracks , (though you could just make a really long pattern and trigger the audio sample inside)
or get a Daw like Harrison which only offers audio editiong but will let you run Maschine as a synced plugin and record from its outputs or drag your audio from on to the other,

you can use kontakt for audio, that would give way more trickery possible than audio track but a bit more hassle..if it worth it or not depends to you
have friends who worked like this for years wihtout using audio in live but only midi / sampler so it s probably not much a issu.
not that it s a issue for music but for some work i would have enjoyed mashcine could sample in 24bit is it possible now? |

thanks for feedback mate..i wish i could update..damn os change..my snow leopard config so stable but not supported by more and more plugs ,we are all dealing with this on mac right now..updating os or not.. |

was just checking and maverick seems not ready at all for a stable rig right now.. doubt one update will be enought that sux ! i keep sl for now and might upgrade when i get a hackintosh or dont have any important stuff to do on my mbp |
