Right then, Martian Arts is my new solo project and have only had one release on Neurobiotic, that was released two months ago.
Its been a busy 2 months remixing tracks with Jordan (the other half of disco hooligans) but I've managed to squeeze in a tune with another old friend John (who is a massive Dick Trevor fan) that is on a different style than the disco hooligans output.

A track that is abundant with Roland SH-101 and Virus Polar TI sounds.
Here's a rough mix of the so far unsigned track.

Peace out.

as always, strong production with your typical metallic timbre to the overall synth work. driving and psychedelic like oldschool stuff with a new sound finish to it.. especially the 303 alike synth makes me groove more acid please!

i must confess though, i hope you will make a more "morning" orientated project some day! i really like your work best as soon as it goes into more melodic and groovy "logic bombish" realms, like from their "unlimited" aera.

anyway: damn solid!           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

Thanks for kind words chaps. Although I do feel the disco hooligans project has quite a few of morning tracks.
Anyhow, nice too see you like this kind of music as well, as I dig it a lot.

Peace out.

Cheers. Did the remix in 7 hours and the mix is very shabby, needs some extra work....ears do get tired after a few hours.
Will do some extra work on the first version as well.

Peace out.

How much time do u guys spend on percussion? from 1.30 'till the break that percussive line is pure blissful agressive funkiness , and what reverb do u use? u have a very distinctive metalic sound, does it come from the reverb?

We don't spend a lot time on percussion just open a few sampler instruments and find some good loops, do some basic chop/rearrange tasks and that's pretty much it. The metalic timbre is a combination of using ring modulation in the patches I build and using flangers. I use Space Designer on everything, not big on the CPU and sounds great, especially for a native reverb. I sometimes use the Sonnox reverb but not often.
