We finally have some dark grey clouds over Athens, which inspired me to make a tech-trance tune.

Layered basslines to create a dirty bottom end, lots of distortion on various droney dark things...etc.
Always wanted to make a track like this.

the track starts going from when the goa style synth kicks not until 2:30 for me but then it really takes off! intro is a bit monotonous imho, could have some perc variotions to spice it up maybe. anyway, from there on the blend of meandering goa style synth lines and melodies and distorted modern sounds is fuckin great!

Thanks for the feedback.
Yeah the intro in quite "techno" went for that minimal "The Delta" vibe
I wanted to get a single bass note that is not static, at a low note (B1) and make it sound full, yet dirty.
So I went about programming a 2 VCO sync bass patch overdrive the Moog VCF slightly (like 5%) and looped 2 beats of that free running VCO patch and then layered a SH-101 sampled square in there with a constant phase start at every trigger.
The layered 101 patch comes in a bit after the Moog patch plays on its own a bit at 1:08 to be more precise.

Although The Delta don't really put goa style leads in, I love them and find my self to put them in traks almost always.

Will experiment further with this type of bassline sound design. Completely different sounds from the more clean "full on" type bass.

i find the bass notes too short too percussive. in my ears its kinda lite on the low end.

other than that..
good job once more!           http://www.landmark-recordings.com/

I can hear loads of bass in my studio and bar P.A. where I work. B0 (must correct my previous mistake its B0 where the percussive Moog bass is playing at, not B1) is like 30.7hz, lower than most speakers go, so that bass won't get reproduced on smaller monitors.
I will look into turning the higher 8ve layer, up and make the bottom end fuller at smaller speakers as well.

Thanks for the feedback chaps.
