Marmite is a type of beef stock in french cooking also, made with brullee onions...
also a type of cooking pot, and thats where that name derives from
LyTe, does this have anything to do with Vegemite?

im sure you can get it in big supermarkets almost anywhere, i know in uk ppl eat more, but i think many countries sell it...
i might be wrong... hehe
