I don't think it's been mentioned on this forum yet, but from what I'm hearing on Oztrance, Mark Allen has retired from djing and producing
Very sad news indeed.

I heard the same thing a couple months ago. The information was relayed to a close friend of mine by Dimitri Nakov (who had spoken with Mark about it shortly before), so unfortunately it seems quite reliable (although one would dearly hope otherwise...).

He was just married within the last 2 years, and a constant touring schedule is for sure tough on a marriage, so I could see why he might want to give it a rest. From what I have heard, he is going back into law.

OK, Here is Mark's reply:

---------QUOTE----------
Let’s call it semi-retirement. I’ve gone back to being a lawyer for the time being, so I don’t have time for DJing every weekend. It’s just a short term contract and it may finish within a few months, but for now, I am enjoying a different kind of challenge. DJing once a month, within Europe suits me fine, cos it gives me time to get excited about the music again. After 11 years of flying around nearly every weekend, it was a good time for something different. I am enjoying having my weekends back and seeing more of my local friends.

I think he is a smart man...
Music shouldn`t detsroy your life...
Sometimes you need a rest.
Hopefully he will come back.
Cheers.           Back on track
