I shall not be checking it out, because I am on the other side of the country.
I just wanted to fruitlessly point out a lost opportunity for giggles from the lack of options regarding embedded imagery. I could have given myself a great chuckle with an image of a map in this post. but no.
carry on.

haha.. even your surname has a use now:
the Afrikaans translation for the word "walk" is "loop", funnily enough...
so perhaps you could just loop there

I use to donate to MAPS in the 90s but the entire idea is really quite pompous and to me is has outlived itself.
If anything they are probably hurting the scientific study of these things at this point.
If you want to study alcohol, you don't invite rowdy bar bands to your conference..makes as much sense as inviting painters and professional bullshitters to this conference.

"Yea, Because art, music and creativity have no place in the study of psychedelics."
The music and art that are being presented are largely for the entertainment of the guests. Almost all international conferences have entertainment. Albert Hoffman stated in the 50's that he felt it could be appropriate for artist, writers and musicians to use LSD for the purpose of inspiration and creative pursuits. Although MAPS has focused significantly on the medicinal and therapeutic aspects of these substances, the artistic and cultural significance is still part of their research and political agenda.
