in traktor studio 3 was possible to manually enter root bpm value at 0% pitch for each deck just typing the value. is the feature still present also in traktor pro ?

You can also click on the BPM of the track and enter a number manually. Is that what you were after? Maybe you could also take a look at the metronome panel.

i think i tried by the metronome where master tempo is but that affects the bpm at which the decks must adapt, therefore doesn't tell traktor what the 0% pitch native bpm is

but found a 2nd alternative way , under deck1&2 where move loop/grid/cue is you go on grid mode an you can type the desired value of native picth without actually affecting the speed of the song, traktor will then base upon this value to speed or slow the song to master tempo

How about a way to set the tempo fader to a specific number? Sometimes when I'm tagging with a friend I want to set my BPM to exactly his track's BPM, but the fader doesn't get there precisely.

For instance, his track might be at 145.15 and I can only get my fader to do 145.10 or 145.20 or something, and it bothers my OCD nature...           http://www.soundcloud.com/Coterminous

Set the midi clock to master, enter that bpm into the midi clock, then click sync on the track, then click master on the track (if you want).

Kind of a roundabout way of doing it but it works

Go to the Global settings in traktor, check show global section, then in the drop down box below check "master clock"... Now you should a master clock box up top... Now uncheck auto but make sure master is actice... type in tempo, when you now press sync it will sync to whatever you have in the master clock.... I have found that tagging with two computers it is +-.03 walk betweeen computers. I do this about 3 times a week with great success...
