I haven't listened but mastering is a polish to finish a product, if it's sounds crap then it's more likely to have been during the mix down period which was probably done by the producer. Technically mastering will not fix this, they just polish up the mixed down version.
I'll save my cash now that you've posted this.

I don't think it's a matter of crappy mastering... Raphael intentions were to create powerful, glitchy & raw sounds IMHO, so the mastering will not "fix" his mark.
I'm not that into filtered & "clean" sounds by all means... I find some psytracks that are great to listen, but too damn boring for ultra saikedelik experience!
Well, it's matter of taste I suppose... No arguing there..

I think this exactly right, for better or worse
I enjoy it, but definitely not the album for you if you're looking for slick production. (which I also enjoy)

Fair enough. I find with darker psy trance quality production helps a lot with so much going on fx wise. Each to their own and best luck to Datakult for this. Just not my cuppa tea.

Interesting. I think for similar reasons, I prefer a lot of higher bpm stuff to be on the more polished end of production.
