Anyone been to the Maldives?
Can you offer some tips/suggestions/info on this beautiful place.

visa on arrival, need to carry a passport though. cheap flights from trivandrum, you might get a return ticket for as less as 15k. otherwise everything else is expensive. i don't know how much you will have to shell out if you live in the main island, but thats no fun anyways. its just a small completely inhabited island, where you spend a few hours for shopping maybe. all the action is in the resorts which generally take up one whole island. and once you go in you usually come back after your vacation. guess you will have to shell out as much as 50k for a couple in a descent resort for a week. and then you will have to pay extra for pretty much everything you do there, like snorkeling for which you will have to rent the gear, scuba diving, water skiing, the list goes on. so basically its real good fun if you have around one lakh rupees and and a week. btw, the place is really really beautiful. the airport is on an island, and when you land you will feel as if the pilot made an error, and you are gonna crash into the water. hehehe... and if you are into surfing, maldives has few of the best places for surfing. |

maybe a gr8 place for honeymoon

Maldives is a killer place dont miss to go scuba diving and lotsa snorkelling and lazing on the white sands... and if u get to do surfing,. amazing |
