I got stuck real bad for more then a month trying to do exactly the bassline I wanted (which was kinda presumtious on my part,cause I couldn't tweak much to do the simple ,one saw osc, most regular bassline).After a month of fighting with it (and learning a lot in process):
Like some wize dude beyond his years here said,it's really not worth it...I said one day "fuck it",left with the best one I did to that day,and just continued rolling.
It's important in those moments you do feel like sitting and writting shit,not to loose momentum.Once your stuff starts looking somehow good,you get second wind,and can stay making music and not loosing mood and muse.One can tweak percussion and kick and bassline for ages,it still doesn't matter much later ,when your work is much fuller,and then you can judge if percussion fits.
Thats what I did,and I was amazed at how fast the progress suddenly went. |
