1) try using effects [stereo separators] 2) try to apply different reverb on each channel..[say left 0.7ms and right 1.2] 3) u can move one of the channels a little off beat... a few milli seconds. 4) use all the things above together :) goodluck |

No Bilbo, you read correct the first, I know how to pan, Im talking making VERY stero, like far left AND far right at the SAME time. Not panning left OR right. :-) |

My 2 cents -
Pan the Hat and then apply the FX to the other side
Or pan the Hat on one side and one of the other perc ( closed Hat or some Snare ) to the other and here u go - your stereo image is much more wide.. ;-) |

Or just - clone the hh channel (so that you have 2 identical) and pan each accordingly (L/R). Don't know if it'll sound good though... you must experiment |

I must agree with Bilboz advice about 'moving' R or L channels a bit later than the other channel...
very easy in WaveLab - u just select a channel and use the 'little foot' tool to kick the channel to move.
Another way is to use reaktor to make the deal, just open a simple sample player ensamble and add a Static Delay object between the Sample Player and the Outs. place a controler on the static delay length - and you'll hear a huge difference.
There are alot of Plugins to make the stereo more wide - like some reverbs and cakefx3. just make it with a really small delay at the end , so it won't sound like it has reverb at all.
enjoy Trip- |
