hello,
I was wondering if some Logic users could help me with this one.
I have a sample cd of percussions with varied bpms. For example say I want to use a loop which is 120 bpm into a song of 140 bpm.
I can change the bpm of the loop to fit the tempo of the track (with the time and pitch machine) but then the loop will no longer fit the bar.. so what else do I need to do for it to then fit the bar?

in the sample-editor
--> functions
-----> set tempo to locatorpoints (...something like that, got german v...)
--> then time & pitch

use acid, and cut the loops in soundforge.           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

...i would chk first live instead of acid...
...u ve got 100% automation over REason-stuff from there and the loops become time-corrected too...

slice the loop in recycle, export as soundfont and midi. in logic import the soundfont with your exs24 and the midi-file ==> have fun           just gimme more of the same. its just a test!

EXS24 can import REX files straight from recycle.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Thanks for the tips guys.. I think I'll start using Recycle now
Being new to recycle I have a few questions

All the stuf in manual about sending to a sampler is it for h/w samplers or do s/w samplers also apply?

also if exporting as Rex, say the loop in Recycle gets given 150bpm.. Can I then put this loop into exs and adjusting bpm will not change pitch of loop? Does the same apply to Soundfonts?

When u are adjusting the BPM with sliced drumloops, u are not changing the pitch at all. Just the slices are played faster.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...
