hardly a bite.. the concept of those vids are cool, with the hand-drawn stuff etc. but the 'smack my bitch up' one only basically identifies the source of like 3 of the samples, and doesn't really show how they were affected or anything. whereas the vid in the OP pretty much builds the whole track from nothing and uses effects etc to get it sounding pretty close to the original.. |

All modern art, including music, is the art of combining and compilation. No matter if you sample or create you own "unique" sound. Uniqueness is very relative thing, ask your grandmother if she feels difference between, say, fullon or forerst psy, or between triphop and dubstep...
So, using samples (and synth presets too!) is absolutely ok, IMHO...
