When it comes to drugs and music, they go hand in hand from opium in the east to greece. Mushrooms and various herbs to inspire creativity. To mozart and his alcohol. To today with more options.

But one thing is for sure. You can take anything as long as it really works for you and will not harm you or others around you.

But when it comes to harmful drugs. Please respect your body and don't go against nature, be with nature. If that is with meditation, kavanah, or western (impatiance) drugs to alter the states of consciousness that is ok.

But don't DESTROY YOUR BODY! It's a temple, a gift, so take care of it and don't be destructive.

I would say from personal experience that psychedelic/mind altering drugs make me more creative the days after and not during the trip.

DMT is a big no no. To small time on the trip and you are not even in this reality of dimensions anymore if you take big hits.

LSD makes me love every note I press and feel an instant vibrating connection with the note and not the music as a hole. So I see no purpose of finishing a song that is a story/theme when I am already feeling it with just one tone. I think many Buddha travelers know what I am talking about.

Weed makes me lazy if it's some bush weed. But the real european super weeds with high level thc can make me creative for a while. But then the cbd is taking over and I am stoned, even thought it is with a high over it. I rather sit and look up in the stars and ask myself the big Q's that LSD makes you otherwise feel. And DMT makes you experience.

So from personal experience on taking drugs during music production. No!

For spiritual awakening and personal development with psychedelics, Yes if you are ready for it.

But if you are able, you can learn to meditate yourself to the same stages. Difference being that you have an on and off button with meditation, and drugs don't give you this. I am only liberal to psychedelics because that of the lifes we live today won't give us the time and patience to learn how to meditate properly.

So LSD, shrooms, ganja or something els that can open the door(s) so we "know" or "feel" that there exist another reality of perception. Then it is up to us to start our more "natural" development towards this stage of conciousness.

I know I am a hypocrite here when I am about to say, because I answered and said my "opinion" regarding the threads subject. But let us stick to music production techniques in the future in other threads or have a subforum for this. Peace.
