can someone please help im trying to find out how fx like jeff thomas "Killer Hertz" are made?

there for the most part lots of mechanical noises and electrical feedback,
they sound exactly like typical radio FX/swooshes/stingers, very nice! but i have no idead how to make them myself.
i understand theres lots of layerd samples, but thats about it!
cheers

get a mic, quiet room, get a bunch of different sticks and objects and record swishes. layer, process with various fx. that's what i do when make sfx for infographics or other commercial clips.

if i get what you re looking for you can use synths, layer and fx

stuff like this? it s all synthesis and fx to me

you make me think to work on a commercial fx librairy and the tools i m sure i will use will be massive and reaktor.
look at this for example and check for sound designer tools there is plenty from grm to metasynth ,absynth...

yeah massive with all the wave table is good for making source sound to then layer and use fx and automation

here a few i made with massive when i was working on a librairy on experimental "abstract" drums , heard some similar impact sound in the youtube link i posted above

sound a bit like shit cause it s dry but with layer, fx and tricks can end with very good result .

one great thing about massive and sound design ,changing the wavetable and exerpiment a little you can get lot of different sounds out of the same patch , saving lot of time
