br0d - so all we have to do is listen to top quality mixes on our headphones and soon enough we be making top quality mixes in no time

sound great, ill start today!
but of course i get your point. but i wouldnt call it simple.

i think this is a very complex subject.
take your mix to a studio and listen there. ask some experienced technican.

also its good to have a wide range of headphones if you gonna produce on headphones only...

if this was a perfect world i would only use headphones for listening on specific details.

jivamukti said it.
it just cannot produce sub freq. that can hit your chest and if u do still u dont feel it.
or at least no way u can mix this properly.

anyhow a great monitor is the one u play on the party. then u know what u did. before listen to my music on turbo sound its just didnt matter what i thought it will be like till then.

I think headphones are an excellent tool in my studio!!

I use it to compaire my tracks with the pros...but i wouldn't use it as my main monitor reference...
Take care of your hears if you use it a lot !!

the dark side is that many headphones gives you ear damage...
pumping bass straight into your ears is not healthy in the long run...

im with tsabeat and jivamukti. acoustics also plays a major role, but sure fine if you want it to sound good on headphones only, but not everybody has the same brand of headphones the mix will sound different everywhere...i think it can be a little risky if you dont know how your phones translate to some other systems..

i think you are better of in mixing bass in a hifi system than headphones... but sure in headphones you will also hear alot...

use both HP and Monitors! and hifi system...
