Hi psy Producers!!!I have few questions about producing music!!! I have try to make full-on bass (i want make verry dance bass, because i want to make melodic trax like protoculture, silicon sound, silent sphere etc...) but i have verry big problem with my notes on key editor (cubase sx) or piano roll (fruity loops)!!!
i wont to make bass like protoculture (if anyone heard the track "refracrions") or bass like silent sphere or sub6 etc.....and i DONT KNOW how can i make that (i mean with notes)!!!for example i write in KEY EDITOR (cubase SX) "K" is the KICK and "B" is the BASS

K K K K
BBB BBB BBB BBB

but my bass sounds like dark psy trance (kindzadza, parasense, fungus funk) and I DONT WANTED!!!

question:

How can i write the notes to sound my bass verry dancing?
Is it a trick to play with velocity, volume(per note),cut or something like that?

IF ANYONE HAVE LISTEN ANY TRAX Of this will be understend me:
protoculture:refractions,silent sphere:moving,silent sphere:dreamer,astrix:underbeat,astrix&dimitri:evox,protoculture:digital world,the commercial hippies:not human,silicon sound:analog device,astrix:techno windows,Wrecked Machines Vs Panick:Spotless Mind,etc...
AND SOME MORE MELODIC Basses:
altom:regulate, wrecked machines:rubberneck,Wrecked Machines Vs Gms Vs Pixel:A Team,Wrecked Machines Vs. Pixel Vs. Domestic:Trancespotting,etc...

Please help me...I realy want big help!!!
THANX GUYS!!!
and keep the psy vibe alive...

Just to be nice...

Try lowering the velocity on some of the notes and taking at least one of each of the bassline group notes (bbb) and move them to a different note... If your kick note is on count 1 or 4, try moving note 4 and see what that does for you.. But I would definitely consider fooling around first before asking the most frequently asked question on this section of the forum. Most important of all, don't make basslines like anyone else, make them your own. You can start with something that sounds similar to a bassline you know, and turn it into your own monster.... experimentation is the key!           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

I'm pretty sure your basslines are the most inovvative ever man...and for sure when you started composing music never ever had the idea to make a similar bassline to the act you like the most...right ?
Nice way to treat a newbie in this forum too.....
Yes similar topics have been all over the place before but you could at least be more polite or choose not to reply at all...

Anyway , d_vision i suggest taking a look at
the "mother of all basslines thread" as well as the forum rules ... good luck            Peace, Love, Death metal

Checked and thnx for replying so soon....but i.m.h.o. this aint jim beam erhh sorry psy trance i meant to say.
This is downbeat electronica man.
nice tracks and all but i definetely wouldnt put them under the psy-trance tag!
And to make myself clear ...for example : Aphex and plaid or autechre create some crazy weird and innovative music which could be called by many "psychedelic"...but is it psy trance.. ? don't think so..
Anyways i'm going waaaaay oooooooff topic here so no point in continuing...
