more fullonish one for es1 , used 3 band of eq when doing it ...a smooth shelving filter to tam the attack click at around 1k i don t remember and equed the low mids..

just starting point tweak according to your pattern, notes used... this one use the filter envelop not the first preset ..both can lead to good /different result

if want killer groove forget quantification..and also forget pre made groove , timing need to be so tight than never a pre made groove will be as right as home made one, just few ticks matter a lot. note lenght and their place on the timeline matter a lot to enhance the groove and get great rolling effect. the shortcut E to open the editor with all the timing/note lenght, velocity ...is great for bassline way better than the piano roll to edit the midi pattern in no time

ES2 bassline on this Etnica remix....slightly mixed it low to leave space for the busy lead work layers, but ES2 is really good at them plastic tight sounding basslines.

Peace out.

Sylenth1 Bassline. Kick is also made from Sylenth1

It's got a really heavy load of opportunities.
Please take advantage of what that sexy AU can grant you. (:            http://soundcloud.com/li-fe

I said I like it dirty, not muddy.

..now i found some tricks out on the es2.

start with the tutorial presets (build in Logic)

go thru and decide to work one out.

important is that you route the filter to envelope 1 !
because this env can be set on retrigger, which makes the note realy short.

the 3 osc preset is kick ass.
set osc start to hard and voices to 1 on mono..

dunno man i could never get the attack right like i want it, a bit like in nectarios sample, it s sound good but there is a small click when using the soft retriger that disturb me in the attack...i did a few test and tbh to make a tune and not spend too much time on the bassline i wouldn t bother with logic synth personally..too much hassle even if it s possible to make great bass with them
