as you can see im working on a live set. this of couse is turning in really difficult, let me tell you why.
Im using Ableton live 5, i think is a really cool program, but the fact is that im not getting his real deal. let say that i divided my song on "scenes" maybe six per song. i looped some parts of it as well and i put them in other scenes, this because i want to play in transitions, make a more dinamic thing, a lot of noise is good to .
well, to avoid using to much memory of my crappy pc i use mono tracks an barely one stereo track, but the fact is that when i launch scenes i get the feel that something is not sounding goood, like the parts dont attach well, and the flow is missing, i dont know why i get this and it is annoying as hell.
someone know something about it?..or better.
HOW DO YOU PLAY LIVE!?.. i really trying to get something la nathan fake style of live act... not the same, but the concept..
give your example here!!

mmm. there are many ways to use live, thats whats so cool about it!!!
everyone ive seen uses it a bit differently, some guys use really short loops and only audio , triggered with midi. others like myself like to work more on the arrengement section and have a solid structure i can mix, then i can improvise on top of that, with synth or percussion loops in audio, using vst filters that can i can control via midi for a real "live feeling".
apart from that i also use midi channels loaded with midi loops played by vst intruments which i also control via midi.
i think the result is equally reliable and stable cpu wise. well im sure its more a live act than some pros ive seen: they have ONE long audio file playing in LOGIC (cause they are pros and use macs), mess arond like they are actually doing something with the mixer, and EVEN pretend to play guitar or an unplugged synth! thats really low! i mean , respect for the hard hours in the studio, not to be actually paid for ur music . but at least do something with this piece of software, which can do a lot more than this. i suggest u get a book called: ableton 4 power!!
its very good. about the mono files, i dont think that its a good idea to play with those, try to use only top grade loops with proper mix on stereo chanell, i think... hope i made sense..
cheers
