I figured I'd make a blog page with links to good Ableton Live tutorials to eliminate the need for searching around a dozen webpages. I just started it today and wanted input from anyone who has links to other good video or text tutorials.

Here's the site: http://ableton-live-tutorials.blogspot.com           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

blehh just be creative..

Ableton isn't too complex, and once you have the basics down you can just come up with your own technique. An occasional trick is fine, but coming up with your own is how you build a distinct style..           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

That's not the point of the blog at all. It's to compile a bunch of tutorials in one place, rather than having them scattered around.

For example it's nice to have tutorials of basic beat creation, compression, racks, etc all in one place.

I've only recently started using Ableton and have had to look around in a lot of places to find information, so I think this is great for someone who is just starting. Less time searching = more time producing .           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

To me, the tutorials that come with it are more than enough for you to learn the basics with. All I was saying was that anything beyond those isn't really necessary to learn, and your music will sound better and be more intricate if you have your own way of looking at the program. I just prefer to go about the process thinking "this is exactly what I want it to sound like, now I'll figure out how to do it" instead of "these are the resources I have available, so I'll do the best I can with those"..

Not sure if that makes any sense..           You believe in the users?

I know what you're getting at, but I still think these help a lot for anyone who is getting started. The ones that came with it are good, but being able to see more capabilities makes things easier.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

i support the cubase one!

PS: i feel the lack of a good one for VST instruments and fxs focused on psytrance (KVR is too generic)... if you are so productive...           http://soundcloud.com/alphadelphi

Thanks- yeah the cubase is an obvious spin off of this one

I might look into the VST one in the future .

I wanna gain more experience using VSTs before I work on that though so I don't go around recommending bad ones.
