you can also try something thats mentioned in the tutorial of virus , in the modulation matrix route the filter envelope to control the filter envelope decay (its own decay),in minor values (ex. -8), in order to make it more concave. it makes the filter tighter , use a little amount

Hi Sai, Yes just record out/bounce a couple notes of each key i.e. 2 or 3 sequenced notes of C1 and do the same all the way upto C3. Shouldnt take more than 5 minutes if you have your synth patch as you like it. From here you can choose to either bounce with or without processing and this can be determined by a number of factors i.e. processor power or how well you trust your patch and channel strip as if you bounce with some channel strip settings i.e. compression, distortion, eq it will be difficult to go back later and undo it if you decide later on you dont like the processing you put on your bass patch.
I do 3 notes on each key so that i have 3 choices to select the best note on each key. Oscillators can drift sometimes and dont always produce a constant signal
then i will select my favourite on each key and load them up into battery and edit/ sequence from there.
i tend to bounce dry with little to no channel strip processing as i find i am constantly tweaking as the mix develops
hope this helps |

perfect man thanks alot but what i was really wondering about is how do i creat a playable selection of it like say on reason nnxt it has a keyboard layout mapping for each note as if it was a real piano roll but they are all wav samples instead of the real synth sound
if u no what i mean

@ saii
for that aim i used kontakt from native instruments - its a very powerful sampler with mapping view - there u can drop your samples to the appropriate key (ranges)
u also could use sampler from ableton - its mainly the same in every sampler (with the included simpler u can only use one sample as far as i remember)
good luck |
