anything with nice formant filter and nice pitch changes.
sometime bit shift helps
always easy to take talk sample and modulate this to sound like synth
samples.. may be later

it's very simple just use high freq lfo on the filter with that you get most of the speach you want. be carefull with lfo speed and modulation depth.
In the modular there is also the "vowel filter" module. which is also cool.
similar somewhere in the second part of "factsong" (not obvious, in the background)

AVS, very nice the way you used the voice style synth at the beggining altering the cutt off together with a delay....I d definetly re produce that track, cause it can get really more wild....it s has a real nice potential...

Thanks ess765 but i don't know. I don't really like it myself. I really like the talking synth though.
2x bandpass filters, or more, or a higspeed lfo as subconsciousmind mentioned are two really good ways of making a synth talk. But theres another way using a thin pulse and maybe fm or sync to create some nice synth talking. Hmm cant remember how.

I made it with a Virus B. It's got a mode where each of the two filteres are panned hard left and hard right. Its just two saw waves (if I remember correctly. Sounds like it.). Both filters are bandpass and its got some distortion to. Can't remember if the filters are modulated by an lfo or if i just tweaked the knob. |

i really like this talking synth in this track of michele adamson & psycraft i believe it is, "Follow the line". it kicks in around 1:20 in the track. it's not a classic formant type sound, more like a wide saw getting abused by pitch
