I have assembled my MIDI SID, however I need to debug the SID module... the CORE module is working, and operational, so I can send MIDI and receive SYSEX status messages, but something is not happening between the PIC and the SID chip.

Once I get this figured out, I will give you a Giana Sisters Remix

samples are at http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_sid.html

here:
http://www.midibox.org/midibox_sid/mbsid_demo3.mp3
three pulse waveforms, slightly detuned & pulse wide modulated

http://www.midibox.org/midibox_sid/mbsid_demo5.mp3
a ring modulated sound with activated portamento

http://www.midibox.org/midibox_sid/mbsid_demo6.mp3
three independent arpeggiator generators which are clocked with extreme frequencies

http://www.midibox.org/midibox_sid/mbsid_demo9_4.mp3
3 x MIDIbox SID with some external echo delays and chorus effects can sound like a Virus

but why just listen? watch this video http://www.synthtopia.com/news/06_07/MidiBox_Sid.html

i plan to build one.

hmm... the box seems to be a bit laggy, not being able to stay on beat.

Very cool sound, though. Is it only SID, no distortion added? (in the video)
